Swift Self Checkout

Large retailers like Walmart, Tesco, and Decathlon have self-checkout counters that reduce queues and improve operational efficiency. However, these systems are expensive, requiring multiple kiosks, weighing scales, RFID infrastructure, and dedicated staff.

Small supermarkets and neighborhood stores typically cannot justify these investments. They continue relying on traditional cashier counters, leading to long queues during peak hours and higher staffing costs.

The goal was to design a lightweight, affordable self-checkout kiosk that delivers a similar experience while remaining practical for smaller retailers.
